Bike Trails
Cycling is becoming a more and more popular sport among enthusiasts worldwide. One can notice that this sport is much more famous in countries where cycling has a long lasting tradition such as Western Europe and in particular Belgium, the Netherlands and France. It is however a fact that cycling, in its various types gains popularity among the Americans as well. road cycling is perhaps the most viewed type of cycling race, especially when it comes to the three Grand Tours, the Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a Espagna. However, some would say that road racing is quite boring so they would try to discover their talent in bike trails racing.Bike trail racing is a combination of mountain bike racing and road racing in which sections of the terrain are smooth and others present different types of natural or artificial obstacles. If riders competing in road cycling races have to prove endurance and skill in the sense of making it easier for them to last for the entire length of the competition, the job is much more serious when it comes to riders of bike trail racing. Riders passionate in this sport need to show endurance but also a great deal of skill in overcoming all the obstacles that are on their way.
Bike trail competitions are arguably more difficult than the traditional races that take place in Europe, but this also means that riders passionate about this particular sport enjoy a bit more the adrenaline and dare to do things that might be dangerous. Professional bike trail riders put a lot of time and efforts in training on a regular basis to achieve both the skill and the endurance required to win a race in this sport. They could participate in road races, but the reverse is less valid or likely.
