Laundry sorter hamper – Laundry that is properly sorted before it is washed to look its best and last longer than clothes that are not sorted and washed properly. Dark clothing with light clothes can bleed color into the light fabric. Fine fabrics can be caught on buttons and zippers of other clothes, and some drugs are more sensitive to detergents than others. Sort your laundry can be done as you go or just before you start to wash clothes.
Take the full laundry sorter hamper to the laundry room, and arrange more Laundry Baskets on the floor. Each one will be used for a separate load of laundry. If you do not have extra Laundry baskets, you can sort the clothes on the floor, as they are already dirty. Pull out all the dark clothes from the hamper. These usually include jeans, and dark-colored pants, shirts, socks and underwear. Put them in a separate basket or pile.

Remove all towels from the laundry sorter hamper, and put them in a basket. Towels washed separately from the rest of the laundry because they give off a lot of fluff that gets stuck on other clothes. Towels should also not have fabric softener added, because it makes them less absorbent. Separate all white wines, and put them in a basket or pile. White can be washed in the hottest water setting and chlorine bleach to keep them bright. All other colors need a color-safe bleach. Take your delicate, panties, bras and fine fabrics such as silk, from the hamper and set them aside. They can be washed on the delicate cycle or by hand.
